We envision a future in which mental health care honors culture, history, and community, supports long-term healing, and remains accessible to those who have been historically overlooked or underserved.
Little River Psychological Services, PLLC is a North Carolina–based practice offering therapy and psychological services to individuals and families across the state via secure telehealth.
Our work is rooted in the belief that healing does not happen in isolation. Culture, history, community, and environment shape emotional life just as deeply as personal experience. We provide care that is steady, relational, and grounded in respect for the full context of each person’s life.
Little River was created with particular care for individuals and families who have been historically underserved or misunderstood within mental health systems, including Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color, as well as those living in rural communities. While our services are open to everyone, our approach reflects an awareness of how trauma, displacement, silence, and inequity can shape mental health across generations.
Our clinicians offer evidence-informed therapy that emphasizes emotional safety, cultural humility, and clarity. We work collaboratively, listening carefully and avoiding extractive or pathologizing approaches to story, identity, or history. Care at Little River is meant to feel grounded, respectful, and supportive of long-term healing rather than quick fixes.
Little River Psychological serves clients throughout North Carolina, with plans to expand services and locations as the practice grows. Our work remains guided by a simple commitment: to provide care that honors where people come from, where they are now, and where they hope to go.
Even the roughest waters flow home.
